Well, if next year's event is going to be telecast on Suria, and Astro insists that the local awards are of no relevance at all, this is my suggestion:

Have the local awards presented at 8.30pm with only Suria telecasting it live, and have the event start proper at 9.00pm, and having snippets of the local awards presented earlier shown during the simulcast.

Why wouldn't anybody think of this in the first place???

And its weird that such an awards show that prides itself as being PRESTIGIOUS AND IMPORTANT, there is no website! Well, at least a professionally done one. I think its really important that the message of APM is spread across the world wide web, rather than giving the impression that it is just a one-off show and I don't blame certain people blaming APM as a 'waste of time'. The website can contain the vision and mission of the APM, information about the artists in this region, entertainment news, album releases, events/concert information, and most importantly, up to date news prior to the next APM.

I hope that next year's event will be a bigger one, and a better one definately.
